A properly treated shoe not only gives a well-groomed image, but lasts longer.
Taking care of your shoes by yourself is not impossible if you follow a few simple steps and use the right products; in this way slippers, loafers, Belgian Loafers, lace-ups and boots will be impeccable as just purchased.
We introduce a series of practical guides for the daily care of your shoes and a selection of essential cleaning products.
Superglamourous calfskin shoes are made with the highest quality Italian leathers, industrially dyed with natural based colors or hand-colored with original Toledo dyes by Kenda Farben.
Here are the easy steps to follow to perfectly restore your leather shoes:
- 1. Carefully remove dust and dirt with a soft neutral cloth.
It is very important to carry out this step with precision because any traces of dirt could mark the shoe during the polishing step.
- 2. Covering the index and middle fingers with a clean neutral cotton cloth (please, do not use the same one used to remove dust and dirt) take some polishing wax and lay it in different points of the shoes, spreading it evenly over the entire upper.
It is very important not to put wax on leather or rubber soles.
- 3. Allow the polishing wax to absorb for about ten minutes and when it is completely dry, brush the entire surface with a natural horsehair brush, holding the shoe by the heel and brushing animatedly from the back to the tip.
- 4. Complete the step by passing the soft neutral cotton cloth over the entire upper paying particular attention to the tip and the back above the heel.
To keep your shoes at their best - in addition to the proper daily cleaning above - take care to keep them away from direct light (sunlight or artificial light), always use the shoehorn and finally, if they get wet, place them on the sides but not too close to sources of heat.
Finally, don't forget the soles that need to repaired as soon as they are worn out: the foot posture will be correct and you will walk better.
